Jan. 24, 2006 -- Manufacturing is one of the key industries that will push the RFID Real Time Locations System (RTLS) market to hit $1.26 billion by 2011. That's quite a leap considering that the 2004 market was at $201.3 million according to a new study by Frost & Sullivan, a Palo-Alto, Calif.-based consulting company.





"The drawbacks of existing systems instigate the need for real time locating system," says Frost & Sullivan research associate Sathya Durga. "The need for real time data is growing in every vertical as it is perceived to provide efficiency and better customer service by providing access to the right information at the right time."



As the market matures the channel members in the RTLS industry face the hurdle of a learning curve on installation. The report suggests that in order for companies to receive results from this type of software customized training should be provided.
