Managing editor for RFID Product News Magazine and article author Eric Van Osten contacted the parties in December 2005 with a battery of questions regarding Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology.
"Mr. Van Osten's technique for writing this article was exemplary in corralling leading RFID, business and privacy experts and submitting a refined list of identical questions upon which the respondents focused," commented Mr. Chavez. "This article is the beginning of an important trend where a common medium is used to debate topical issues surrounding RFID."
This is the second article this month where Mr. Chavez's expert opinions have been recognized by an RFID publication. The first was an article written by Marisa Torrieri for Contactless News magazine regarding Senator Joe Simitian's (D-Palo Alto) bill "SB 768," an RFID Privacy bill co-sponsored by the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) and the EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation).
