Universities To Collaborate On RFID Innovation
The RFID Solutions Center in Dayton has increased its collaboration with area universities in an effort to increase its innovation capability. As part of this drive, the Center is affiliating with:
1. The Ohio State University
2. Ohio University Center for Automatic Identification (part of the Russ College of 3. Engineering and Technology)
4. Wilberforce University
5. Wright State University
6. The University of Cincinnati.
The universities will develop RFID curriculae, promote and enhance RFID studies, including student internship at the Solutions Center and facilitate faculty-consulting engagements at the Center.

RFID Solutions Center Dayton To Collaborate With Leading Universities For RFID Innovation And Education
February 6, 2006, Dayton, OH – The RFID Solutions Center Dayton, a division of Alien Technology Corporation, today announced it is collaborating with five leading Ohio universities to develop and execute programs for Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology education, research and development. The Ohio State University, Ohio University Center for Automatic Identification, part of the Russ College of Engineering and Technology, Wilberforce University, Wright State University, and the University of Cincinnati have agreed to collaborate with the RFID Solutions Center in such activities as developing RFID curriculums; promoting and enhancing RFID studies, including student internship at the Solutions Center; and facilitating faculty consulting engagements at the Center, among other potential joint projects.

Dedicated to RFID discovery, innovation and successful implementation, the 23,000 square foot RFID Solutions Center Dayton encompasses sophisticated technical labs, and extensive test and piloting facilities, as well as the capital equipment needed to simulate a wide range of “real-world” RFID situations for supply chains in the consumer packaged goods, retail, transportation, defense and pharmaceuticals industries. With its breadth of physical facilities, consulting and educational resources, including the Alien RFID Academy, the Solutions Center is designed to help organizations address the totality of RFID in the global supply chain.
